AMLODIPINE TABLETS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR WHAT?

Amlodipine belongs to a group of medicines known as calcium channel blockers / calcium channel blockers /. They lower blood pressure by causing relaxation of the blood vessel walls. Calcium channel blockers have an effect on the heart that can be used to treat angina.

Amlodipine is used for:

BEFORE YOU TAKE AMLODIPINE TABLETS

Do not take Amlodipine Tablets

HOW TO TAKE AMLODIPINE TABLETS

Adults:

Starting dose for high blood pressure and angina: 5 mg once daily.

Maximum dose for high blood pressure and angina: if the effect after 2-4 weeks was inadequate, the dose may be increased to a maximum of 10 mg once daily.

Elderly:

No specific dosage for the elderly, but the increase in dose should be done carefully.

If you have kidney problems:

No alteration of dosage.

If you have liver problems:

Very rare - decreased number of white blood cells povshen risk of infection, decreased platelet count with increased risk of bruising, numbness, tingling, burning sensation, inflamed blood vessels, gastritis, cough, swelling of skin or mucous membranes with difficulty breathing and / or itching and abriv allergic reactions.
