WHAT ANDROCUR DEPOT AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
Androcur Depot hormonal products active against male hormones. It suppresses the influence of male sex hormones on their target organs, e. prostate antagonizing an androgen-dependent pathologies. Androkur Depot also reduces the concentration of testosterone in the blood, which has an additional therapeutic effect. There is a tendency to a slight increase in prolactin levels with high doses of cyproterone acetate.
During therapy Androkur Depot, libido and potency are reduced and testicular function is suppressed. All changes were reversible upon discontinuation of treatment.


Androcur Depot used for:
- Suppression of libido in sexual deviations in men
- Inoperable prostate cancer

Do not take Adrocur Depot
When a prescribed reduction in sexual libido deviations Androkur depot should not be taken in the presence of any of the conditions listed below. If this applies to you, tell your doctor before starting treatment.

- If you have liver disease
- If you suffer from congenital liver dysfunction with impaired release of pigment in red blood cells called bilirubin.
- If you have a history or evidence of benign or malignant liver tumors
- If you suffer from debilitating illness
- If you have chronic depression
- If you have a history or evidence of impaired circulation: in practice conditions associated with thrombosis in blood vessels
- If you have severe diabetes with vascular
- If you have sickle cell anemia
- If you suffer from hypersensitivity to cyproterone acetate or any of the other ingredients of Androkur Depot.

Taking other medicines
The need for oral antidiabetics or insulin can be changed
Please tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines recently, including medicines obtained without a prescription. This practice applies to medicines containing ketoconazole, itraconazole, clotrimazole, ritonavir, rifampicin, phenytoin, products containing St. John's wort products belonging to the group of statins.

The risk of statin-related side effects affecting the muscle tissue is increased if certain statins are administered in conjunction with higher therapeutic doses of cyproterone acetate, as the same pass metabolism.

HOW TO USE ADROKUR DEPOT
Injections should be administered very slowly. Adrokur depot is shown only for intramuscular injection. Special care is needed to avoid intravascular injection.
