WHAT BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA AND WHAT IT IS USED
BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA is a medicine for ocular topical anesthetic. The active substance is oksibuprokainov hydrochloride - anesthetic synthetic ester type. BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA is an effective, superficial, short-acting anesthetic (narcotic) with a quick upward effect. It reversibly blocks the emergence and impulse conduction in sensory nerves, thereby causing temporary anesthesia (anesthesia) at the site of application. It is more effective than cocaine. BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA does not affect the width of the pupil and the ability to accommodate (to fix in sight).
BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA used for surface anesthesia of the cornea and the conjunctiva (the surface of the eye) during removal of superficial or deep-seated foreign bodies during tonometry (Measurement of intraocular pressure) gonioskopiya (measuring the angle of the anterior chamber of the eye), and other diagnostic procedures. In preparation for subconjunctival and retrobulbar injections.

2 BEFORE USING BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA
Do not use BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA:

BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA should be used with caution in patients with pseudocholinesterase deficiency, myasthenia gravis, low blood pressure, heart disease (heart failure, irregular heart beat) and epilepsy. Uncontrolled use of any anesthetic, even at low concentrations, may, after a short reception result in damage to the cornea. In cases of persistent pain, the patient should be prescribed systemic analgesics. Even a single application leads to ulceration of the soft surface of the cornea.
Since oxybuprocaine stops bacterial growth and reproduction (ie has a bacteriostatic effect) BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA should not be applied before taking a sample for bacterial culture.
Wearing contact lenses should shoot them down before applying this medicine and put them back after the complete disappearance of signs of anesthesia.
BENOXI UNIMED PHARMA should not be applied as simple drug.

The product is not compatible with the silver nitrate, mercury salts and other alkaline substances.
