Nutritional supplement for healthy joints and bones in the form of sachets with soluble powder.

In the joint, the bone is covered with cartilage, which performs a dual function: it softens the load on it and facilitates the sliding of the joint surfaces during movement by reducing friction. The articular cartilage is made up of a network of collagen fibers, which contain special molecules - proteins and glycosaminoglycans. They retain a large amount of water (more than 90%). In the structure of cartilage there are cells called chondrocytes, which constantly synthesize and renew a large number of components of the extracellular matrix (collagen, glycoproteins, proteoglycans and hyaluronic acid). The dynamic balance between the formation and physiological destruction of the components of the joint can be disturbed: 1) when the activity or the number of chondrocytes decreases; 2) when collagen and glycosaminoglycans are insufficient; 3) under the influence of certain enzymes that destroy the components of the joint. Then the cartilage surface begins to change and from smooth and elastic it becomes uneven, rough and hard. The result is difficulty moving in combination with impaired joint function.

Active ingredients:

Hydrolyzed collagen - has a beneficial effect on cartilage biosynthesis; contributes to the normal function and mobility of the joints, their strength and flexibility; keeps connective tissue, tendons, bones and ligaments in good condition;
Vitamin C - promotes the formation of collagen and the normal function of bones, cartilage, teeth, gums, skin and blood vessels;
Vitamin K2 in the form of MK-7 - helps maintain bone health and helps protect blood vessels from calcium accumulation;
Vitamin D3 - contributes to the proper absorption of calcium and phosphorus; maintains a normal concentration of calcium in the blood and a normal condition of the bones and teeth.
The collagen in Bestiflex Osteo is a mixture of collagen peptides obtained by specific hydrolysis of bovine collagen type I.

Mechanism of action of hydrolyzed collagen in Bestiflex Osteo:

Absorption: Following oral administration, collagen peptides are rapidly absorbed and degraded in 90% to single amino acids and dipeptides, and in the remaining 10% to intact large molecules with a molecular weight of up to 10 kilodaltons.
Distribution: Both individual amino acids and macromolecular peptides enter the bloodstream, the latter accumulating highly in articular cartilage.
Stimulation of collagen synthesis: The high-molecular peptides that reach the articular cartilage directly stimulate chondrocytes for the biosynthesis of extracellular matrix - type II collagen and proteoglycans (a fact proven in preclinical and clinical studies).
Role of Vitamin K2 MK-7 for maintaining bone and vascular health
Fat-soluble Vitamin K is available in two forms: Vitamin K1, (phylloquinones), supplied with foods primarily of plant origin, and Vitamin K2, (menaquinones), found in foods primarily of animal origin.

There are separate types of Vitamin K2, which differ in the length of their side isoprinoid chains (MK-4 - MK-13):

Vitamin K2, in the form of MK-4 is available in various meats, eggs, yogurt and cheeses;
Vitamin K2 in the form of MK-7 is found in the popular Japanese food from fermented natto soybeans, as well as in various cheeses;
Vitamin K2 with long-chain menaquinones (MK-10; MK-13) populates the colon and is least important for vitamin activity.
For the passage of calcium in the blood and its incorporation into the bone structure, it is necessary to have osteocalcin activated by Vitamin K2 MK-7 in the bones - a hormone responsible for the synthesis of the bone matrix. Without Vitamin K2 MK-7, osteocalcin cannot be activated and calcium cannot be absorbed into the bone mass. This leads to calcification of the arteries (vascular calcification) with subsequent deficiency in the bones.
A study demonstrates that increased consumption of Vitamin K2 MK-7 is associated with increased activation of osteocalcin, which increases bone mineral density and reduces the risk of fractures. So the role of Vitamin K2 MK-7 is to properly direct calcium to the bones and at the same time to protect the walls of blood vessels from calcification. However, it has been found that even foods rich in Vitamin K do not provide the necessary amounts for the body. Therefore, it is necessary to add it in the form of a food supplement.

Why is Vitamin K2 MK-7 the right Vitamin K2?
Vitamin K2 MK-7 has a long serum half-life - it is active up to 72 hours, unlike K1 and K2 MK-4, which have an activity of up to 1.5 hours. It is not rapidly metabolized by the liver, which ensures its constant delivery and effectiveness to other parts of the body.

Role of Vitamin D in maintaining bone health
Vitamin D plays a major role in calcium-phosphorus homeostasis, bone metabolism and neuromuscular function. It is a vital component for maintaining bone strength. It also affects the muscle tissue through those located in the myocardium
Randomized clinical trials have shown that vitamin D supplementation reduces the rate of bone loss in older women.

Both Vitamin K2 MK-7 and Vitamin D3 are key substances for maintaining normal bone condition. It is very important to take them at the same time, with or without additional calcium intake.
