DEPREKSOR WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED

Depreksor belongs to a group of drugs called antidepressants. They are used to treat depression.

Depreksor used to relieve symptoms of depression, including depression associated with anxiety, to prevent recurrence or onset of new depressive episodes.

 BEFORE YOU TAKE DEPREKSOR

Do not take Depreksor in the following cases:

  If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredient venlafaxine or any of the excipients of the product;

  If you are taking or have recently (last two weeks) have been treated with other medicines to treat depression (MAOIs);

 Acute liver or kidney disease;

  If you are pregnant or breast-feeding;

 If you are under the age of 18 years.

Tell your doctor if:

 Have had a mental illness in the past (mania);

  You have experienced depression in the past;

  Have recently had a heart attack, have severe heart failure or other cardiac disease, accompanied by rapid pulse;

  Have hypertension;

 You suffer from epilepsy or have had seizures in the past;

  You have a serious kidney or liver disease;

Have glaucoma (increased eye pressure);

  Have or have had bleeding in the skin and / or mucous membranes. 

Thoughts of suicide and worsening of your depression or anxiety disorder

Tell your doctor if you are taking medicines that affect blood clotting (warfarin), products containing St. John's Wort extract, medicines for migraine sibutramine (medicine for weight control), dextromethorphan (cough treatment), clozapine (used to treat schizophrenia), cigarette metidin (for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease), zolpidem (sleep-inducing).

Pregnancy and lactation

 HOW TO TAKE DEPREKSOR

The usual recommended dose for all indications is 75 mg daily in 2 divided doses (at 37,5 mg two times daily). In particularly severe cases of depression in hospitalized patients and the initial dose is 150 mg daily. If you have serious liver or kidney disease, your doctor may recommend a reduction in the daily dose by 50%.  POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
