What Gastroprotect is and what it is used for
The medicinal product GastroProtect is a combination of three active ingredients: famotidine - used to reduce stomach acids and two widely used antacid agents (reducing stomach acids) - calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide. Gastroprotect is designed to relieve the symptoms of indigestion in excess of acid formation in the stomach. The combination Gastroprotect acts in two directions: calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide, falling into the stomach, quickly neutralize excess acid that is already formed in the stomach, while famotidine has a longer duration of action, reducing acidity by up to 12 hours, preventing acid stomach secretion. The optimal combination of these two actions effectively maintains normal acidity in the stomach, enabling the recovery of the irritated and inflamed mucosa.

Gastroprotect is used for short-term symptomatic treatment of irritation and inflammation of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum, and functional-secretory disorders of the stomach:
To relieve stomach discomfort: heartburn, pain, weight, stomach swelling, nausea, etc., as a result of excess gastric acid formation, acute and chronic gastritis, reflux, including due to eating errors or misuse Alcohol or smoking, or some medicines;
With increased acidity of gastric juice (hyperaciditis);
In indigestion (non-dyspepsia) - to improve the action of the gastrointestinal tract.
