WHAT KEPPRA IS AND WHAT IT IS USED?
Keppra 100 mg / ml oral solution is an antiepileptic drug / medicament for the treatment of seizures in epilepsy /.
Keppra used alone in the treatment of partial seizures in patients over 16 years.
It is used in patients who are also taking medicines to treat:
- Partial seizures in adults and children over 4 years
- Myoclonic seizures in patients over 12 years with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy

BEFORE YOU TAKE Keppra
Keppra is used in adults and children over 4 years. Not recommended for children under 4 years
Do not take Keppra:
- If you are allergic to levetiracetam or any of the other ingredients of Keppra.

Take special care with Keppra:
- If you have kidney problems, follow your doctor's instructions. Your doctor may decide if your dose needs to be adjusted.
- Keppra no impact on growth and puberty in children. Not enough data for long-term use in children.
- If you notice an increase in seizure severity, please inform your doctor.
Using other medicines:
Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Pregnancy and lactation:
Ask your doctor before taking any medicine. If you are pregnant or think you are pregnant, please inform your doctor. Keppra should be used during pregnancy only where strictly necessary. The potential risk to your unborn child is not known. Keppra studies in animals have shown adverse reproductive studies at doses significantly higher than those who need to control your seizures.

Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment.

HOW TO TAKE Capri?
Dosage in adults and adolescents weighing 50 kg or more:
Take the number of tablets exactly as your doctor tells
The usual dose is between 1000 mg and 3000 mg daily.
Keppra should be taken twice daily, morning and evening at the same time each day.

Dosage in children and adolescents weighing less than 50 kg
Give your child the number of tablets exactly as your doctor tells you.
The usual dose is between 20 mg / kg and 60 mg / kg daily.
Keppra should be taken twice daily, morning and evening, at the same time each day.

Keppra 100 mg / ml oral solution and 250 mg Keppra tablets are the most suitable formulations for use in infants.

application:
Swallow the tablets Keppra with sufficient fluid.

Duration of treatment:
Keppra be used as a chronic treatment. You should not take as long Keppra as advised by your doctor.
Do not stop taking Keppra without advice from your doctor, as this could increase your seizures.
