LEGALON caps. 140 mg. 20 capsules

Ingredients: 1 capsule contains:

Active substance:

173,0 -186.7 mg Cardui mariae fructus extractum siccum (extract from the fruit of the milk thistle) (36-44:1), corresponding to 140 mg silymarin (extractor: ethyl acetate> 96.7%);

Excipients

mannitol, sodium starch glycolate (type A), polysorbate 80, povidone K 29-32, magnesium stearate, gelatin, titanium dioxide E 171, E iron oxide red 172, iron oxide black E 172, sodium lauryl sulfate.

Pharmacological action:

Legalonat has antitoxic effect on the liver, due to its antiperoksidantnata activity, restricting access to some cells of hepatotoxic substances and enhance protein synthesis.

Indications:

Symptomatic treatment of chronic toxic liver damage, for maintenance treatment in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of the liver or liver cirrhosis.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any component. For use in children is not enough clinical data. Therefore Legalon  140 should not be used in children under 12 years!

Special precautions for use:

Taking the medicine does not mean that you should avoid the causes of liver damage (eg alcohol). Upon jaundice (light to dark yellow discoloration of the skin, yellowing of the eyes) trabva to see a doctor.

Note:

This medicine is not suitable for the treatment of acute poisoning. Undesirable effects: In individual cases, a mild laxative and pain in the upper abdomen. Possible allergic reactions in individuals predisposed to allergy.

If side effects occur, especially those that are not listed in this leaflet should be sought advice from a doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Due to lack of data on the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation, its use is permitted only on prescription.

Effects on ability to drive and use machines:

Legaion  140 does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.

Dosage, method and duration of administration:

If your doctor advises otherwise, the following guidelines apply. (Stick to the instructions please, otherwise Legalon  140 can not affect correct!) At the beginning of treatment three times daily 1 capsule (corresponding to 420 mg Silimarin). As a maintenance dose sufficient 2 times daily 1 capsule (equivalent to 420 mg Silimarin). If symptoms persist, seek medical advice again. The capsules should be swallowed whole meal with sufficient liquid

The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor.

Overdose:

If overdose above side effects may occur in an enhanced form. In such cases, seek your doctor for the treatment.

Storage Conditions:

No special requirements.

Shelf life:

5 years.

The date on which it expires is printed on the outer carton and on the blister.

Do not use  after the expiry date!
