I. Free radicals and oxidative stress.
Free radicals are atoms or groups of atoms that have a free electron in the outermost layer of their electron shell. Most often they are formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules. Free radicals are very unstable, so they are immediately reacted with other compounds or elements upon their formation. As a result of this reaction, new unstable compounds are formed, which in turn are also highly reactive. Thus begins a chain reaction leading to the formation of new and novel highly reactive elements and compounds that can damage the body's cells after reacting with important cellular structures such as the cellular DNA or cell membrane. To protect against the damaging effects of free radicals, our body has a protective system of antioxidants.
Numerous environmental factors, diet and lifestyle, can lead to an imbalance between the formation and disposal of free radicals, a condition known as oxidative stress.
II. What are Antioxidants?
Antioxidants are molecules that safely interact with free radicals without themselves becoming unstable compounds and interrupting their chain reaction before damaging the vital molecules to the body.
III. What is OXIBIO?
OXIBIO is a precise combination of powerful antioxidants: H - acetyl - L - cysteine, Alpha - lipoic acid, lutein, zeaxanthin and resveratrol.
N - acetyl - L - cysteine (N - acetyl - L - cysteine) is a derivative of the sulfur-containing amino acid cysteine. H-acetyl - A - cysteine has a direct antioxidant effect. It also contributes to the enhanced synthesis of intracellular antioxidant glutathione.
Alpha lipoic acid is a broad spectrum antioxidant. It has a direct antioxidant effect and can restore other cellular antioxidants (glutathione, vitamin E, vitamin C).
Carotenoids: Lutein and Zeaxanthin are major components of macular pigment (the yellow body) in the central retina. They protect the visual cells by neutralizing the photochemically generated free radicals and absorbing (filtering) some rays from the light spectrum. The need for lutein may be higher when:
cataract;
glaucoma;
"Dry eye";
diabetic retinopathy;
age-related macular degeneration;
computer work.
Resveratrol - suppresses pathological expansion of new "fragile" vessels in the retina.
Antioxidant action - Resveratrol effectively neutralizes free radicals.
IV. Do they protect against disease by antioxidants?
Antioxidants are closely linked to the prevention of cellular damage, which is at the heart of aging, cardiovascular and many other diseases.
V. Purpose of OXIBIO.
OXIBIO contains lutein and zeaxanthin necessary to maintain normal vision and helps protect the body's cells from oxidative stress.
VI. How should OXIBIO be taken?
Adults take 1 (one) to 2 (two) tablets daily with meals.
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake (TAR).
VII. Storage of OXIBIO.
Store at room temperature, out of reach of children.
Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Do not use after the expiry date or if the integrity of the packaging is compromised.
Pack of 30 tablets.
