Trimetilglitsinat represents methylated amino acid. It acts as a donor of methyl groups, thus facilitating the process of methylation and toxic homocysteine is converted to methionine. Reducing homocysteine levels is essential for prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
Trimetilglitsinat is very important for methylation - a normal biological process that occurs continuously in the human body. By methylation toxic amino acid homocysteine is converted to methionine - safer and more beneficial to the body amino acid. The methylation plays an important role in the formation of SAMe, which supports the strength of the joints and cartilage tissue, but also helps to protect against and repair of the DNA structure. Poor diet and unhealthy lifestyle can be a reason for delaying the process of methylation.
