What is Tusari and what is it used?
Tusari contains acetylsalicylic acid in low doses belongs to a group of medicines called anti-platelet agents. Platelets are small cells in the blood which cause blood clotting, and are associated with thrombosis. When in the artery to form a blood clot, it stops blood flow and interrupt the supply of oxygen. When this occurs in the heart, it can cause a heart attack or angina pectoris, and in the brain can cause strokes.
Tusari be taken for reducing the risk of blood clot formation and thus to prevent:
heart attack;
stroke;
cardiovascular events in patients suffering from stable or unstable angina (presenting with chest pain).
Tusari also be used to prevent the formation of blood clots after certain types of surgical operations on the heart which are performed to extend or clogged coronary arteries.

Do not take Tusari:
if you are allergic to aspirin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);

Tell your doctor if you plan to have surgery (even a mild one such as tooth extraction). Since acetylsalicylic acid thins the blood, there may be an increased risk of bleeding.
You must be careful not to become dehydrated (you can feel the thirst and dry mouth), since the use of acetylsalicylic acid also can worsen kidney function.
This product is not suitable as an analgesic or antipyretic agent.
If any of the above applies to you or you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Aspirin can cause Reye's syndrome when given to children. Reye's syndrome is a very rare disease that affects the brain and liver, and can be life-threatening. Therefore Tusari should not be used in children under the age of 16 years unless under a doctor's prescription.

For oral administration.
