Afrin WHAT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED
This medication belongs to a class - local nasal decongestants .
Afrin efficacious drug with sustained action , which quickly relieves the symptoms associated with nasal congestion due to colds , sinusitis, hay fever and other allergies , upper respiratory tract . The use of African twice daily is usually sufficient to facilitate breathing during the day and night.
Afrin may be used to assist in examination or surgery of the nose, as well as adjuvant treatment of otic inflammation.

2 . BEFORE USING Afrin
Do not use Afrin :
if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to oksimetazolinov hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of the African Union ;
in children under the age of six years ;
If you have been treated with inhibitors monoaminooksidiazata ( MAOIs ) in the last 14 days.
Take special care with Afrin :
If you suffer from cardiovascular disorders , thyroid disease or prostate , high blood pressure, diabetes, or problems with urination .

The safety of using African during pregnancy has not been established, therefore its use in pregnant women should be done only if the expected benefit outweighs the risks.

breastfeeding

Using other medicines
Tell your doctor if you are taking antidepressants.

3 . HOW TO USE Afrin
Adults and children over 6 years : 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril , morning and evening, unless your doctor tells you otherwise directed .
With head up , insert the bottle into the nostril without cover that hole completely. Squeeze the bottle quickly and firmly to Inject the recommended dose in each nostril. After use, clean the tip of the bottle .
Do not exceed the recommended dose and do not use more than 3 days without medical advice .
The use of the vial of more than one may lead to the spread of infection.

If you take more than you should
Frequent or prolonged use of this drug can cause new nasal congestion or to deteriorate. If you find that the dose you have applied before , there is no effect , contact your doctor.
In case of accidental ingestion , seek medical advice immediately .

4 . POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines Afrin can cause side effects . At higher than recommended doses may experience symptoms such as burning, itching , sneezing , or increased discharge from the nose.

5 . HOW TO STORE Afrin
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not store above 25 ° C.
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the pack . The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

What does the Afrin
The active substance is oksimetazolinov hydrochloride.
Other ingredients are: sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate , disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride , propylene glycol , sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid ( to adjust pH ) and purified water.
