What URALYT - U and what it is used
URALYT - U is alkaline citrate for the treatment of kidney stones.
Composition: potassium sodium hydrogen citrate (6: 6: 3: 5) 2.4 g /2.5 g.

Indications:
whipping of urate stones;
for metafilaksiya (prevention of recurrences) of calcium stones and uric acid stones, as well as mixed forms of calcium oxalate stones / urate acid or calcium oxalate / calcium phosphate.
Note:
Application of the product should be part of an overall concept for metafilaksiya (eg. Diet, increasing fluid intake, etc.).

2. Before using URALYT - U region
You must not use URALYT - U region suffer from acute or chronic renal failure following a low-sodium diet, if you suffer from metabolic alkalosis or chronic urinary tract infections with bacteria, splitting urea.

Do not use URALYT - U region:
if you are hypersensitive to any of its ingredients.
Take special care
Before initiation of therapy must be excluded all circumstances and adverse conditions that can contribute to the formation of kidney stones. This applies to cases in which the specific therapy (parathyroid adenoma, malignoma with stone formation of uric acid, etc.);
Before taking the first dose should be determined serum electrolytes and renal function monitored. Moreover, it should check acid-base status if there is suspicion of renal tubular acidosis;
Be careful with the use of URALYT - U region in patients with severe hepatic impairment;
Children - Treatment of children under 12 years is not recommended because there is not enough clinical experience with this age group.
If you are taking other medicines
Any increase in extracellular potassium concentration may weaken the effect of cardiac glycosides, while reducing it will strengthen their arrhythmogenic effect. Aldosterone antagonists, potassium sparing diuretics, ACE inhibitors, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and analgesics peripheral reduce emission of potassium through the kidneys. Remember that 10 g of Y-Ural region (average daily dose) contain 1 72 g or 40 mmol potassium.
If you recommend a low-sodium diet, please remember that 10 g of URALYT - U region (average daily dose) contain 1.0 g or 40 mmol sodium (equivalent to 2.6 g salt). Medicines containing citrate, which are provided simultaneously with those containing aluminum, may cause reinforcing the absorption of aluminum. If such drugs must be taken between the adoption should be an interval of at least 2 hours.

Pregnancy and lactation
There are no adequate data from the use of U-Ural region by pregnant or nursing women. Experimental studies in animals have shown no mutagenic or teratogenic effects.

Important information about some of the ingredients of URALYT - U
This product contains a colorant yellow orange S (E 110) which may cause allergic reactions, including asthma, in susceptible individuals. Allergy is more common in people reacting acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin).

3. How to use URALYT - U region
If the doctor has prescribed another, observe the following instructions below, otherwise URALYT - U will not work properly!

a) For the reconstitution and prevention of recurrence of urate stones:
How much and how often you should take URALYT - U
Take 4 scoops (= 10 g granules) a day, divided into 3 doses after meals: Drink 1 scoop each morning, one at noon and 2 every night after eating.
The pH of fresh urine should be in the range between 6.2 - 6.8.
If the pH is lower, the daily dose should be increased with a half-scoop night. If the pH is above the recommended limit, the daily dose should be reduced by half scoop evening. Must be found right dose at which the pH of fresh urine before dosing Ural-Y to be within limits.
For metafilaksiya urate stones are advised to regularly monitor the pH of urine

b) To prevent recurrence of calcium stones:
How much and how often you should take Ural-Y?
The daily dose should be 2-3 scoops (= 5 - 7.5 g granules) to be taken once in the evening. If the pH is too low to be taken 3-4.5 scoops (= 7.5 -11.25 g granules), divided into 2-3 doses during the day, after meals. You should aim to urinary pH 7.0. pH should not fall below 6.2 and rises above 7.4.
The levels of citrate and / or pH of the urine should be regularly checked and according to specify individual dosage.

Method of administration
The granules should be dissolved in a glass of water and then drink.
Measuring the pH of urine:
Immediately before receiving each dose grab strip of test paper, which is located in the package, grasp it with clip (also supplied) and then soak with fresh urine. Then compare the color of wetted strip with color chart and read what is printed below pH corresponding color. So read pH and number of scoops of granules that are drunk, are recorded in the control calendar. You should wear control calendar with you whenever you visit the doctor.

Duration of use
Your doctor will determine the duration of treatment. If complaints continue, you should visit your doctor.
If you feel that the effect of URALYT - U is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

If you take a large amount of Ural-Y than you should
Provided that renal function is normal, it should not expect adverse effects on the metabolic or physiological parameters, even when they were received doses higher than recommended.
Any overdose can be detected at any time by checking the pH of the urine and can be corrected by lowering the dosage. If necessary, consult a doctor.

4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, URALYT - U can have side effects. The following terms for determining the frequency of these reactions:

Possible side effects:
Mild stomach or abdominal pain are common.

Orange Yellow S (E 110) may cause allergic reactions.
